We all love our carpets. We
all enjoy the lush, warm feel we get as we walk across our carpeted rooms. But what doesn'
t make us happy is to see spots or stains on our beloved rugs and carpets. There are many ways to get rid of these spots and stains. Here is a
fool-proof method to keep your house looking spotless:
 Always have
club soda on hand for all spot removal jobs. The great part about using the club
soda is that it works right away. As soon as you have a spill grab the club soda and
blot up as much moisture as you can. Don't try rubbing out the spill- it will only
make it worse.
- Try laying down towels to help absorb the spill- standing on
the towels ( with clean feet) can help get it all up.
- To remove any solids (before adding the club soda), like wax
or dried up food stains, scrape off the material using a butter or putty knife.
- When you pour on the club soda don't be afraid to be
generous. The bubbles in the soda will work for you. The carbonation will make
the spill "bubble up" so that it is easier to blot up.
- When using towels make sure you use light colored towels or
clean rags so that the color of the towel won't discolor your rug or carpet.
- Continue to pour and absorb, again not rubbing, until all
the color from the stain has been soaked up.
- After this is done use a good carpet stain removal.

Shaving cream to
clean spots
From: Vicky
Try using shaving cream (any plain kind). It
works wonders on spills and stains. Wet a sponge and spray the shaving cream on the spot
and scrub. It's as if it just fades away.
